On my arrival in Ndutu again last month and whilst driving towards the lodge, I was welcomed by a handsome lion and a lioness close by the causeway and when I arrived at the lodge a few minutes later, it was like coming home. I find it great, waking up in the morning with zebras grazing close to my bungalow or driving out on the plains and watching my beloved cats and the endless rows of wildebeest with their little calves or sitting out on the verandah until late in the evening, enjoying the stars in the African night sky, watching a little hare or a genet and listening to the lions` roar not so far away. These are precious moments in my life and I`m very grateful that I have been able to experience them !

Thank you Louise and Paul, for showing me the beauty of Ndutu with your eyes on that wonderful Sunday and thank you Aadje for your friendliness and your warmth. It`s admirable seeing how much each one of you care for the animals and their habitat ! My thanks to everyone at Ndutu who made my stay so very special.

The photo of Stella and her calves is especially for you Louise and Paul.

Ndutu is a magic place - I will come back again soon !!

I'm Pietro. I came to your place twice in the last two years, once in November, once the last August. I have seen the wonderful pictures of my friend Anna so I decided to send you some pictures I took during the incredible days I spent at Ndutu. Definitely the best place where to go with incredible wildlife, very gentle staff and a very, very friendly atmosphere. Here is a link to my webpage with wildlife pictures taken in Tanzania. http://www.gusme.it/guests/luraschi/

Thank you very much for all.

We stayed at Ndutu in early February 2004 and had a fantastic time. We were lucky enough to see this lion not far from the camp - we hope it will be good enough for you to put on the web site!

I would like to thank you for the always nice journey in your fantastic lodge. Has been fantastic to have the possibility to go around the savannah nearby you and follow the animals totally free, as only there is possible. I send you some of the pictures I took this year! Asante sana and take care.

Hi, my name is Daniele and I am Italian. I have been at Ndutu Safari Lodge twice: November 2002 and August 2003. In both cases my experience was amazing, thanks either to the nature and the lodge staff. Everybody is very friendly, the bungalows are very comfortable and the cuisine is excellent. It is impossible to have more. Thank you and see you soon.

Jambo, habari gani ? We're a French couple, living in Paris, and we have spent 13 wonderful days in Tanzania. We were back in France on February 12th, but our minds are still in Africa...

We have lived for 3 days in your paradisiac lodge from February 2nd to 4th, we still have in our memories the "kiboko" drawing on the door of our room 35. It has been the best days of our safari, it was definitely the best place to be at this moment. We have seen lots of animals in your neighbourhood: giraffes, zebras and elephants already at the waterhole, cheetahs, hyenas, lions, gazelles and of course thousands of wildebeests. We were among the fortunate people who could have heard the famous "roaring lions night" and we were more fortunate to meet them the morning after on the Ndutu lake shore just before dawn. It was an amazing encounter: 3 lions and a lioness walking in our direction and crossing us, calm and quiet in a beautiful light. We can't tell you all the meetings we had... the 4 cheetahs trying to chase a hare; one of the many lost newborn wildebeest; the so close elephant eating the plants in garden of the bungalow at the very right with the aardvark wooden statue, and the other one, so close too, between our room 35 and the tents; the bat who slept hang on our verandah...

What could we say about your lodge ? Our english is not enough fluent to find the superlatives. But we can say that it is a kind of paradise. We won't forget the lounge, the bar and the genets at the early breakfasts, the small and nice shop, the footprints in the cement... Nice rooms, great organisation, very good food, and very nice people.

Say hello to Joseph who has kindly taken care of us during our meals. So sad to be back in France, we just have one thought: To go back! Almost every day we take a look on your site in the Paul's lines on "What's happening" section to follow your news, it is a bit like we are still there... Thank you again for such wildlife beauties, such hospitality and kindness.

We hope to see you soon...

We were with you in early January 2003 and had a simply wonderful time.

Our Landcruiser bust a front spring on the way from Ngorongoro and we had a reflective hour or three waiting for the repair team to fix us up so that we could carry on to Ndutu. The last hour or so of the journey was quite interesting making our way through rain sodden meadows and paths and betting on whether or not we'd make it. We did and the drive was much better than any ride in Disney.

The days we spent at Ndutu were wonderful and I've enclosed just three of the many photos I took and hope they give a flavour of our experience. It's not possible in stills to give any true reflection of the images to be seen on the open plains when full of animals. Absolutely spectacular.

Is it a good or bad thing that we didn't see leopard during our safari? Most people would - I think - say bad. We say good - cos that means we have to come back to see them!!

Thanks for everything and we miss the campfire chats already.

Ndutu Lodge is for me something of special in the heaven of Serengeti. I like Ndutu Lodge and Aadje, Louise, Paul and the staff with their warm friendliness and hospitality. Now I am glad to send some of my photos, which I tooked in all the past years around Ndutu, showing the beauty of that place. Feel free, if you like, to use them in your website, so, for the present (waiting for my next visit) , I'll be at Ndutu at least in the web.

We did visit your area while staying at the Crater lodge. We are however coming back at end Feb to spend 4 nights at your lodge. I took these pics on the day visit to Lake Ndutu.

We have decided our time with Louise and Ndutu surroundings was the best vacation we have ever had in our almost 70 years. Counting meeting us at Seronera airstrip and taking us to Manyara airport, she was with us for five days, sharing a personalized tour with information and friendship. Thanks.

I am writing on behalf of the 'Life of Mammals' team and Sir David Attenborough with reference to the visit by BBC Natural History Unit to film in the Serengeti in March 2001. We would all like to thank you for the absolutely wonderful hospitality that you and your staff extended to us during our filming.

We do appreciate that film crews can be very tiresome to look after, working strange hours and making lots of last minute demands- you managed to meet all of these with a smile and extreme patience. If all lodges that we stayed in during filming were so wonderful, I don't think any of us would want to go home!

David was particularly complimentary about Ndutu Safari Lodge, and mentioned that it was the place he had most enjoyed visiting on his travels in East Africa.

Some months ago, while we were thinking about a safari in Tanzania with our four children (aged from 6 to 14), someone told us it was a crazy idea. Nevertheless we decided to go, and in April 2001 we enjoyed the best holiday of our lifes. We'll never forget the wonderful people, landscape and animals we found, and all the exciting experiences we had. We have very fond memories of Ndutu: the lodge is in an extraordinary place and everyone there had been extremely kind. Now, in Barcelona, when days are becoming colder and shorter, we like to look at the beautiful photos we took ... and look forward to coming back to Ndutu soon.
